Earlier today my Wife and I were driving around looking for something to eat for dinner when we were pulled over. The female officer explained that she pulled us over for a bad taillight. She ran my name, checked insurance, etc., and sent us on our way after explaining just how much a “Fix It” ticket costs nowadays. About an hour so later, on the same road coming back from dinner — a different cop pulls us over.
Taillight again! I guess taillights don’t repair themselves while you’re eating dinner. We explained to him (This time it was a male officer) that our taillight was out, and we just got pulled over for it! He runs my name again, doesn’t bother with the proof of insurance. I guess he just wanted to make sure I paid my dinner bill. Your tax dollars are hard at work.
