Finally there’s a Blu-Ray player that I might actually buy. And it’s not because I’m a big high definiation fan with a 126″ Mondo Plasma TV — I’m just cheap, OK? I remember when a DVD title used to require you to dig up Benjamin Franklin’s grave. Anyway, Amazin.com has the Sylvania NB500SL9 going for under $200. It does 1080p, comes with an HDMI cable and while it doesn’t look sexy at all, it does the job on a budget.
Me? I’m sticking to DVD for now. I have a big screen TV but it’s not super fancy high definition in any fasion and I don’t notice any improved picture quality using Blu-Ray V.S. Standard DVD so until I upgrade my whole living room I’m going to be using regular ol’ DVD for a long time to come.
